- Notify your manager.
- Learn about your options for receiving Social Security benefits, if eligible.
- Apply for Medicare, if eligible.
- Decide when and how to access retirement savings. When you’re ready, log in to your Fidelity account or call the Retirement Services Group at 800-835-5095 to have a licensed representative assist you with your retirement options. You may also call (888) 401-5932 (401K‑WDC) for general 401(k) plan questions.
- If you are a participant in the Deferred Compensation Plan (DCP) or if you were previously a participant, your account balance may be distributed to you upon termination, or it may be distributed later if you meet certain eligibility requirements for a delayed distribution under the plan. Visit the Newport Group to view your account balance and update your address, or call (800) 230-3950 if you have questions about your account or distribution date.

- If you are enrolled in a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA), HealthEquity will mail you a letter with further information. Contact HealthEquity at (866) 346-5800 with any questions.
- Consider converting your supplemental life insurance to an individual policy. A port and conversion packet will be mailed to you within 10 days of your termination. You have 30 days to convert your policy. Call MetLife at (877) 275-6387 for questions.
- Access free, confidential counseling through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Contact AskHR at (408) 717-8398 to confirm date and amount of final paycheck.

After you’ve retired, you may be eligible for Medicare and/or Social Security benefits. Learn more on the Social Security website. You may also have the option of enrolling in other coverage, such as COBRA coverage or your spouse’s benefits. Ask your spouse’s employer for their enrollment process and deadline.
