Experiencing a death in the family can be an emotional and stressful time. Below are some resources to help you and your family navigate through this difficult time and find support. 
- To get started with filing a life insurance claim or to access a claim, you may visit MetLife at MetLife.com/MyBenefits or call (800) 638-6420, then Press 2. Customer Service is open Monday-Thursday, 8am-8pm ET and Friday 8am-5pm ET.
 - Access free, confidential counseling through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
 - Anthem members can access virtual behavioral health resources online at anthem.com/mental-health.
 - Kaiser members can access virtual behavioral health resources through the Kaiser Health & Wellness pages for Southern California and Northern California.
 - Review the company’s bereavement and personal leave policies.
 - Update your dependents and/or benefits coverage, if necessary, within 31 days.
 - Update your life insurance, Health Savings Account (HSA), and retirement plan beneficiaries if necessary.
 - Update your direct deposit and/or tax withholding.
 - Learn more about benefit actions you can take in the event of a death.
